Officer Noah Allatt’s Quick Actions Save Life After Crash Involving Tanker Truck

A Bridgewater police officer is being hailed for his bravery after pulling an unconscious driver from a burning car early Wednesday morning, preventing what could have been a deadly outcome.

At approximately 2:11 a.m. on March 5, 2025, Officer Noah Allatt responded to a crash involving two vehicles on State Route 22 in Bridgewater. According to the Bridgewater Police Department, the incident occurred when 35-year-old Zachary Roslin, driving a tanker truck, was rear-ended by 26-year-old Peter Della-Ventura, who was driving a Hyundai Elantra. Both vehicles were traveling west on the highway when the collision happened.

The impact of the crash caused the two vehicles to become fused together and quickly ignited into flames. The vehicles continued to travel for approximately 685 feet while still burning. Roslin, the tanker truck driver, managed to bring the rig to a controlled stop. He and his passenger, Moosade Harris, were able to exit their vehicles. However, Della-Ventura remained trapped in his car, unconscious and unable to escape.

Without hesitation, Officer Allatt arrived at the scene and immediately sprang into action. Despite the growing flames, he reached into Della-Ventura’s vehicle, pulled the unconscious driver out, and dragged him to safety, avoiding what could have been a fatal situation.

Della-Ventura and his passenger, Harris, were both transported to a hospital in New Brunswick with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, Officer Allatt’s courageous actions were recognized by the police department.

“Officer Allatt demonstrated remarkable bravery and composure during this dangerous situation,” said the Bridgewater Police Department in a statement. “His quick thinking and decisive actions were instrumental in saving the life of the driver.”

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and no charges had been filed as of Wednesday afternoon. Thanks to Officer Allatt’s heroic intervention, what could have been a devastating tragedy was instead a story of courage and quick response.
