EASTON, MA — Video released by the Easton Police Department shows an officer and several bystanders pulling a 78-year-old driver from a burning pickup truck following a crash that struck a utility pole and ignited the vehicle, officials said.
The incident occurred when the driver lost control and collided with the pole, causing sparks and flames to erupt from the pickup, prompting nearby responders to act quickly, police said.
Easton police body-camera footage and bystander video capture the officer and civilians reaching the vehicle, opening the door and removing the injured driver moments before the fire intensified.
