EARL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Central Berks Regional Police Department officer died May 29, 2026, after her patrol vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree while she was responding to assist a neighboring law enforcement agency, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.
Officer Kristin Yeager was en route to an emergency call when the crash occurred near an intersection in Earl Township. Yeager was ejected from the vehicle during the incident and was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Yeager had served with the Central Berks Regional Police Department for approximately two and a half years. She is survived by her husband and three children.
In a statement released following her death, the Central Berks Regional Police Department described Yeager as an officer who brought dedication and compassion to her service each day. “She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own,” the department stated. “Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.”
