A Chicago police officer was shot at while driving on an expressway early Wednesday.
The shooting happened shortly after 2 a.m. as a Chicago police officer was driving an unmarked Kia along the Stevenson Expressway in the McKinley Park neighborhood, WBBM-TV reports. Shots were fired at the vehicle, but the officer was not struck.
The officer did not return fire, and broken glass from the car’s window could be seen at the scene. Police are searching for a suspect in the shooting.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
