MIDDLETOWN – A City of Middletown Police Officer was shot Saturday night while responding to a call at 24 Myrtle Avenue in the city.about:blank
Sources tell Mid Hudson News that the wounded officer was dispatched to a call at 24 Myrtle Avenue around 7:44 pm Saturday night. When the officer arrived, he was shot and wounded. The officer returned fire and wounded the suspect.
Both the officer and the suspect have been transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
A large police presence responded to the area within moments of the shooting.
