TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Officers from various Texas police departments could be seen offering thunderous applause as Officer Lina Mino, who was shot during an active shooter training exercise last month, was released from in-patient rehab last week.

FOX 4 News shared a video from the White Settlement Police Department showing Mino being wheeled out of the facility with a smile on her face as officers from White Settlement, Fort Worth, Mansfield, Westover Hills, Westworth Village and Boyd were there to support.

Mino was rushed to the hospital in critical condition last month after she was shot in the face with a live round during an active shooter training exercise at a Texas school. At a recent event, Samson Park Police Chief James Burchfield said he is confident Mino will return to work as an officer.

“Her attitude will bring her back one day, I guarantee it,” Burchfield told FOX 4. “We are here waiting for her, whenever she can get back.”
