DAYTON, OH — Dayton Police released dashcam video showing officers pursuing and arresting a homicide suspect after a high-speed vehicle chase Sunday night, authorities said.
Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle connected to a homicide investigation, but the driver fled, reaching speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour before colliding with another car, officials reported.
Officers terminated the pursuit before the crash and subsequently took the suspect into custody at the scene without further incident, Dayton Police said.
The individual was identified as a person of interest in a separate homicide earlier that day, and investigators continue to work the case, police said.
Authorities asked members of the public with additional information to contact Dayton Police or Crimestoppers as the homicide investigation remains active.
