CINCINNATI, Ohio — Body camera and in-car footage released by the Cincinnati Police Division shows a dramatic high-speed pursuit in which a patrol vehicle ended up carrying a suspected stolen car on its rear flatbed section during the chase.
The incident began when officers attempted to stop a vehicle reported stolen. As the driver fled, the pursuit entered city streets at high speed. Video shows the suspect’s car colliding with the rear of a marked police cruiser and becoming lodged under its flatbed apparatus. Officers continued to drive with the suspect vehicle attached as the chase progressed for several blocks.
Eventually, the suspects exited the strapped vehicle and fled on foot. Officers pursued on foot and were able to detain the individuals a short distance from the scene. No serious injuries to officers or suspects were reported.
Authorities towed both vehicles from the scene after the pursuit concluded. The Cincinnati Police Division said the matter remains under investigation, including review of the circumstances leading up to and during the chase. No additional details about charges or suspect identities were released.
