CHANDLER, AZ — The Chandler Police Department has welcomed its 10th baby into the station under its “Baby at Work” program, which allows new parents who work inside the police facility to bring their infants to the workplace, department officials said Tuesday.

The program is open to employees returning from maternity or paternity leave and permits children ages six weeks up to six months to accompany their parent, provided the work environment is appropriate.

Lt. Nicole Vasey, who used the program to bring both of her sons to the station during her return to duty, said the opportunity supported her efforts to balance family and professional responsibilities.

Police Chief Bryan Chapman said the initiative reflects the department’s family-oriented values and aims to support a healthier workplace culture for personnel navigating early parenthood.

The department did not immediately release additional details on program guidelines or future participation thresholds.
