ORLANDO, FL — Michael Foreman, a retired SWAT leader and executive vice president at protective equipment manufacturer Point Blank Enterprises, died at age 71, according to industry reports.

Foreman’s law enforcement career spanned more than 41 years, including roles as an officer, deputy, supervisor and command staff member. He spent 24 years involved in SWAT as an operator, sniper, team leader and commander.

He retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida as a deputy chief in 2004.

Foreman joined Point Blank Enterprises in 2003 as a sales representative and held multiple positions before becoming executive vice president. He also served as president of the Florida SWAT Association and as a director with the National Tactical Officers Association.

Foreman is survived by his wife, mother, children, grandchildren and sister, according to his obituary.
