LAGRANGE, GA — A 17-year-old suspect led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit that exceeded 115 mph and ended in a rollover crash, according to dash-cam video and sheriff’s officials.

The incident began about 7:30 a.m. Jan. 27 when a Troup County Sheriff’s deputy lieutenant attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Lafayette Parkway but the driver did not yield.

Dash-cam footage released by the sheriff’s office shows the vehicle accelerating away from the attempted stop, reaching speeds estimated above 115 mph while weaving through traffic and ignoring commands to pull over.

The chase continued several miles before the suspect’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned in a rollover crash. Emergency responders transported the teen to a hospital with serious injuries for treatment, officials said.

No deputies were reported injured during the pursuit and crash; the incident remains under review by the sheriff’s office.
