An Ohio police officer was seriously injured in a collision with two armed robbery suspects in a stolen vehicle Tuesday.
The incident happened when Columbus police officers saw two juvenile suspects in a stolen Kia, WCMH-TV reports. Police had also received a report of an armed robbery.
While pursuing the suspects, an officer in a cruiser was in a crash with the stolen vehicle. The officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition, but no details were released about the nature of the injuries. It’s unclear if the juveniles were injured in the collision.
Both the cruiser and Kia were heavily damaged in the incident, WBNS-TV reports. A firearm also was recovered at the scene, according to police.
