ALLEGANY COUNTY, NY — A driver was arrested after a multi-county pursuit with New York State Police that began when troopers attempted to stop a vehicle bearing a “Sorry Officer I Thought You Wanted to Race” bumper sticker for alleged traffic violations, according to authorities.
State police said the pursuit began on [specific road or area] after the driver failed to yield to a lawful traffic stop and continued at high speeds on county roads.
Troopers from multiple units responded and coordinated efforts to bring the vehicle to a safe stop as the chase continued through Allegany County, law enforcement officials reported.
The vehicle was eventually stopped without reported injuries, and the driver was taken into custody at the scene, according to the state police announcement.
