An Allegheny County man was arrested after driving to a police station to confront police while intoxicated, police claim.
According to WPXI, Brian Studt, 26, went to the Bethel Park police station around 11 p.m. Sunday. He then yelled at officers about being stopped the day before because of a burnt out headlight, which he claimed was not burnt out and that the stop was illegal.
Police said that Studt smelled like alcohol and began screaming at them when they spoke with him, claiming that he wanted to fight them. Studt was then placed in handcuffs and his legs were shackled.
According to police, Studt kicked an officer and attempted to kick another, and threatened to beat an officer over the head with a pipe. He refused to take a blood alcohol test and was placed in a holding cell.
Officers found a large pipe in Studt’s vehicle, which they noted also had a burnt out headlight.
Studt has been charged with aggravated assault, harassment, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, DUI, public drunkenness and general lighting requirements.
