A Duquesne police officer was shot in the foot while responding to a call, according to reports from KDKA and WPXI.
The incident occurred around 12:18 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Catherine and Savey streets, according to Allegheny County police.
The officer arrived on the scene as shots were being fired and was hit in the foot.
Returning fire, the officer struck the suspect in the leg. Both the officer and the suspect were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information to call 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
