While everyone is angry and focused on the tragic events in Minneapolis, I’d like to introduce you to another officer.
Yesterday, Cody Holte, a 3 year member of the Grand Forks Police Department came to the aid of two deputies who were in a gunfight in Grand Forks. One deputy had been hit by the time Cody and his partner arrived to join the fight. Cody didn’t survive.
He leaves behind a wife and infant son.Please, do not let your anger and distrust prejudice you against all officers. Maybe spend some time thinking about this young Brother and what he gave for his community. And if you have a little extra time, maybe say a prayer for his family.
